How you can Pay It Forward...and 1 min meditation for anxiety.

Hi Lovely,

I mean't to write last week but I had a nasty tummy bug, and then the school holidays and, well, everything got shelved for a while.

My body and my mind needed a bit of downtime and I took it... And now I feel great again. Yay!

I have so many things to tell you about - We had a blast the weekend before last at the official launch of our amazing book The Pay It Forward Series; Notes To My Younger Self. 

I felt like a film star. We all did.

Not only was it awesome to spend some quality time with my mum, cousin and friends and feel their love and support, but it was great, if not a bit overwhelming, to actually meet my co.authors

I had total imposter syndrome and feelings of inadequacy being thrown in with these formidible women and was a bag of nerves. I've been feeling a bit anxious generally lately.

I often get a bit of anxiety from time to time, and have been using my Kundalini Yoga tools to bring me back into my body (check out the 2 minute alternate nostril breathing technique here and below) but everybody was super lovely and I relaxed straight away and felt the compassion and comradarie.  The sisterhood vibe was super high!

It felt like I'd known them all for years. 

Not only were we sharing the pages of the same book, but we had been back to dark places and then brought them into light for everyone to see and black and white. We all knew how that felt. Vulnerable but powerful - and you could feel it. We also had loads of support and a good male presence which put the yang in our yin and it was dynamite.

The energy was so bright and vibrant that it felt like a rocket launch rather than a book launch.

So now its time to read the book and Pay It Forward.

To someone you know or someone you don't.  By telling our stories we can plant the seeds of hope and we can cultivate the growth of inner strength. Here's how you can reach out and let someone know that they are not alone.

2. Before you give the second book away, use the message box on page 7 to write your own words of hope, wisdom, knowledge and inspiration to the next woman you are going to pay it forward to 🙂

3. Give it to a friend, family member, or even a complete stranger by leaving it on a bus, a train, a park bench, or even on the table in your local cafe.

4. Take a picture of where you left it (or with the person you've given it to) and post it on social media with the words, "I left mine (on the sink of the loo in )" and share it, tagging me in with these hashtags

And what happens if the wrong person picks it up?  I don't think there ever a wrong person and it will always find it's way to the right person. The right story will resonate.  I was just chased down the street after leaving it on a bus.. "Hey Madam,  You have forgotten your book".. "Oh Thank you", I said (to not the right person) and left it again, at another spot for another finder.  Maybe the new finder won't need it either...... but her sister/friend/mother/stranger might.

Kriya for Inner Vitality and Stamina

This time of year is always so exciting - I love being cosy, catching up with family, friends and feeling gratitude for all the blessings and love I have in my life. Yay! There is a lot to be thankful for, and this time of year really brings it home as to how full my cup is. 

A full cup usually means a full life, and a full life can mean a lot of demands, not just during the season but throughout the year.

Below I am going to take you through a 15 minute Kundalini Kriya* that works on our internal systems to invoke our inner vitality and bring stamina into the body and mind that is so needed right now!
 

Since it's a super busy time for us all, we could all do with a bit of vitality and stamina to get us through with gusto, on top of our game, no?

I have been doing it myself for the past 7 days and its effects are immediate and incredible. I have shortened the length of each posture slightly, for the sake of time, but the effects still hit the spot. I really am super excited to share this with you!

All you need is 15 minutes and an "I can" attitude and you'll feel the vitality and stamina immediately.

It begins by stimulating the Navel Point energy and releasing the reserve energy that is stored there. It brings energy to all the meridians in the body and then the exercises systematically move the flow of energy from the solar plexus up to the throat. The Kriya* then guides the flow to the higher centres and glands. Finally, it opens up the superhighway of the "sushmana" (central channel through which flows prana or life force) and the spine. Wooooo!! The energy is totally unleashed within you. The Kriya ends with a short naval meditation for healing that creates the effect of the universe vibrating in every cell of your body. Awesome!

It's suitable for beginners and experienced student so grab your mat, an open mind and off we go!
